What is anal bleaching?
Anal bleaching is a cosmetic procedure that is designed to aesthetically change the appearance of the anal skin in a positive or attractive manner. The anus is typically a lighter or pink color. Dark skin around the anus may make patients' feel uncomfortable and damage their self-esteem. Over time due to the natural aging process, normal hormonal changes, and the constant friction of daily life, the anal skin will darken. This may affect patients' sexual confidence and overall sense of feeling healthy. What is the process like?
Dr. Schultzel offers a quick, easy, and painless treatment to refresh the anus.
The procedure takes about 15 minutes and involves placement of a bleaching compound onto the anal area. The compound is created by a licensed pharmacist. The compound will sit for 15 minutes then will be washed away and a dressing will be placed with a cream to encourage comfort.
Each procedure is performed by trained and licensed medical professionals in a professional environment and is set for 15-20 minutes
NOTE: The anal area should be free of STDs, lesions, cuts, or any other rectal mediations.
What is the recovery like?
The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes. We recommend loose fitting clothing for the appointment. This will decrease irritation in the area after the procedure. We also recommend no thong underwear as it can cause irritation. After the procedure we recommend hot water soaks for 20 minutes daily and avoidance of intercourse for 5 days after a session. Petroleum jelly or Aloe gel in the area may also help with healing.
Possible side effects include itching and irritation
